Sequential Spelling

Sequential Spelling uses an inductive approach to teaching spelling.  Rather than teaching abstract rules, with all their numerous exceptions, or drilling a series of memorization exercises, Sequential Spelling relies on a child's natural ability to learn by seeing examples and by doing a task.  Spelling is treated as a "mastery" skill--one that develops and improves with use.

 The 7 levels are not based on grade level of individual words. Almost all students should begin with level 1.
